Annette spoke to Dave McCarthy from Poker from the Rail about her first World Series of Poker.

So how was your first WSOP?

Pretty much went as expected. I try not to ever enter any tournaments with high expectations since it’s so high variance. You don’t want to go in expecting to win and then be disappointed when you don’t.

It wasn’t a great series. I had 4 cashes, one 11th place. I was really hoping to make a final table, since everyone notices that. If you cash, nobody really does.

    Annette,
I am a journalism student from Northwestern University writing an article to be published about underaged players playing online poker as a trend to make large sums of money. I’ve heard your story and it seems perfect for my piece. If there is any way you could email me some responses at goheat706@aol.com, it would be a huge help.

    1. How did you manage your bankroll?
    2. Do you feel like it was hard to stay composed with your bankroll when you were younger?
    3. How did you deal with losing streaks?
    4. Did you feel like there was any way for the online sites to know you were below the age of 18?

Thanks again, if you would rather do a phone interview, please email me the number and I’ll call as well. Thanks again!
